The Two Crowns of Thorns

Is 53 "He was wounded for our transgressions and he was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes, we are healed."

Concerning the recent discovery by the people who study the shroud of Turin.

What they found was the the person whose image is on the shroud wore two crowns of thorns on His Head.

For more reading you can go to spiritrestoration.org and click on their site map and scroll down to the sermon achieve section and keep going till you get to the article on the crowns. Or you can do a search on the net.

We know from the above verse that he wore the crowns for us, but I myself, because of my posts on the Theoferrum, can't help but make this a very personal "chastisement" that he bore for me personally.

I guess that's enough said about that.

The interesting thing about our chastisement that he bore for us is that in Hebrew this word comes from the root word Muwcar which means a bond or to bind, which is exactly what the Roman Soldiers did.

They bound The Thorny Crowns around his bleeding brow...
