Here is a little mystery for ya.  It's not specifically connected to Masonry but I decided to include it so as to show my readers (if there ever are any) that I know a little bit about what I am talking about.

The figure above is still a mystery to Egyptologists to this very day looking, as he does, like an overstuffed potato that was left a little too long on the grill.

All they really know about him is that he appears out of no where during the Funeral Procession and then disappears just as mysteriously earning him the name of the Enigma to Egyptologists.

Well, they've been trying to figure this mystery out for nigh unto 200 years and it took me all of about 5 minutes to figure it out using a Strong's Concordance.

In Hebrew Techinnah means Supplication and Prayer founded upon the base we call Hope - thus, just as a Kite was a professional Mourner a Tekenu was a professional Supplicant who offered up prayers for the deceased.

This just goes to show you the great advantage there is in trusting the Scriptures at face value knowing Hebrew was the original language of the Garden of Eden which was located in Egypt.

It actually wouldn't surprise me to find out that this figure is actually the new Pharaoh who was anointed at the same time that they were performing the Closing of the Mouth Ceremony for the deceased Pharaoh but I will let the Egyptologists try and figure that one out.
