The Cutting Edge

For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off...

Many people claim to be on the Cutting Edge of current events - especially as it involves Eschatology. And, in fact, some of these are very close to understanding how these current events are going to unfold in the near future in fulfillment of the prophecies.

The cutting off referred to above is referring to a change in Dispensation (see also John 15:1-6,Rev 3:16,Dan 4, Is 18, Gen 8:11,Acts 9:5, 26:14, 2:2, 4:31, 8:17, 10:44, 19:6, Is 27, Ez17 etc), which we know will occur at the Rapture and beginning of the tribulation, when God begins dealing in the world through Israel again.

So, the real cutting edge in Eschatology and current events is the Rapture itself. And this is a two edged sword. For, not only will this event separate the lukewarm Christians from the hot at this change in dispensation - itself the key to understanding eschatology - it will also separate failed theologies from sound theologies. It will separate between Premillennialists and Preterists and between Pretribulationalists and Prewrathers as well.

But it doesn't end here; this is just the beginning. The cutting off of the Jewish Nation 2,000 years ago was the most earth shattering event to hit the geopolitical world since the flood.

It is obvious that the end of the Church Dispensation (and the release of the Babylonian tree stump - Dan 4) will see unprecedented changes in the geopolitical situation of this globe, unrivaled in human history, literally overnight.

It is only those people who know and understand this, who will be able to understand these events before they come to pass. In more ways than most can understand, the pretribulation rapture is the cutting edge, not just in religious circles, but in the entire global panorama of Politics, Religion, Institutions and all aspects of Society.

It is, so to speak, the Lord's Ace in the Hole.

To predict all the consequences of this event in all areas of society is beyond the abilities of most, if not all, master theologians. They would have to be, at the least, amateur sociologists, psychologists, political scientists, military strategists, economists, chemists, electricians, physicists etc.

In fact, they would have to know a little bit about every major branch of science in order to make an attempt at an estimation of the physical, mental and spiritual effects of a pretribulational rapture on an unsuspecting world.

Just trying to understand the effects on our world would be hard enough, but one would also have to have some type of understanding of how the pretribulational rapture will effect the spiritual world - and their reactions - which will be played out in our realm.

If the resurrection of one man - though God Himself - completely turned the whole civilized world upside down (Acts 17:6), what will be the effect on this cosmos when millions of saints over the last 6,000 years (live and dead) are resurrected and caught up to heaven "in the twinkling of an eye" by that same man?

Maybe now you are beginning to see the enormity of the situation before us and are realizing, as stated, that the pretribulational Rapture really is the Cutting Edge.

One author (Dave Hunt) made an attempt, years ago, into this murky water, however, he was treading through the water in the belief that every Christian in America and around the globe would be taken.

What will be the psychological effect on these people, and on our country and on the minds of the enemies of our country, when very few Christians are taken here, and from Europe (in fact, I am persuaded that the greatest amount of living saints will be taken from the communist and Muslim countries, where they are being severely persecuted for their faith, leading those countries to consider a preemptive strike on their 'enemies' before their enemies strike them).

Though I don't know how accurate this will turn out to be, I will make an attempt to present an overview of this effect on Satan's kingdom and how it will effect all of us that remain.

In the spiritual realm, the effect of the rapture among the good angels and the glorified saints will be one of rejoicing (Rev 5:9). However, as far as I can tell, this will have no perceptible effect on the people of the world until the end of the tribulation (Rev 19).

Among the fallen angels the rapture will have the effects of usurping positions of authority in heaven from them. In Rev 12 it is recorded twice that the fallen angels fell or were kicked out of heaven. The first occurrence will be at the rapture and then again in the second half of the trib.

Now, if we want to know how this effects earth, all we have to do is look at history to see how certain leaders when dethroned acted. For instance, after Napoleon's first abdication, he schemed on a way to take back by force what he had lost. And when he had enough support, he went to war again.

So, you can expect the fallen angels and demons, immediately after the rapture to commence building up their support base for another assault on heaven.

Hence, very shortly after the rapture you will begin to see the moral situation over the entire globe to decrease rapidly with possessions and oppressions and an increase in crime and immorality unequaled in human history, even by the flood (a gradual increase).

Thus it is not just Jerusalem which will be compared spiritually to Sodom in that day (Rev 11:9), but the entire Cosmos or World system under the Antichrist who will have his capital at Jerusalem at the mid point of the tribulaton.

Those who are good will become very good and those who are bad will become very bad, virtually immediately after the rapture (Jeremiah 24, Rev 22:11). In other words, if you think its bad now, you ain't seen nothing yet. All those who resist will be destroyed, but for God's grace.

How will this effect the denizens of this world? The first effect on everyone on the globe (the only exception will be those Pretribulationalists who also knew that they were going to be left behind - a handful if that), will be confusion on a global scale.

In other words, very literally, the entire human population of the globe is going to be shell shocked. And most, if not all, of those Christians who are left behind will probably be in a daze for weeks or months, and in fact some of them will never come out of it and this is Pretribulationalists and Prewrathers both.

As far as these people are concerned, their reactions will probably determine what will happen to them during the tribulation. If they are slow to come out of it, they probably will get run over by the events that follow (actually true of the unsaved as well).

The actual physical effects of the resurrection of that many people I have touched upon before in a comparision between Ps 77 (Rapture) and 97 (Return), where the descriptions are indeed similar (as we would expect) but the words themselves are slightly different and give us a more detailed understanding of the Rapture.

A human body is an Electrical, Chemical and Atomic structure. The Power (literally Dynamo in the Greek) of the Resurrection that will be unleashed to atomically reconstruct those dead saints will have a specific effect on the planet.

This is seen in the Resurrection of the many of Matt - the force of which blew open their graves. When millions of saints are resurrected in one split second over the entire globe, you will have an enormous concussion wave (Ps 77) hitting this globe. It will be like millions of tiny atomic explosions going off simultaneously. By the way, this is one principal of military strategy - timing an attack so that all parts of it climax together.

Just recently on the short wave I have heard of the unstable condition of the earth itself. The thinness of the sea wall in California, the ring of fire heating up, increased activity in yellowstone (the largest volcano in the world I believe - in fact called a supervolcano), with the lava getting closer and closer to the surface. When you have this unstable condition on the tectonic plates of the earth, a very 'little' event could succeed in pushing all of these hot spots over the edge (see Ps 77, 18 etc). I personally believe that the resurrection of the saints will be this very event.

This will have some unforeseen consequences. For instance, in Israel the Kidron valley lies just below the temple mount. This is a fault line. This just happens to be where saints have been buried for thousands of years. Add to that, the unstable condition of the temple mount itself, compliments of the 'excavations' of the Muslims and you have a potentially 'explosive' situation.

What do you suppose will happen when 6,000 years of saints come bursting out of their graves over this fault line? It will send a concussion wave into the fault line possibly leading to an earthquake that will be terminal for the dome of the Rock.

And what effect do you suppose this will have on the entire Muslim world, who will assuredly blame this on Israel? The earthquakes that are caused by the Rapture will not be confined to the physical world and the above scenario will apply to the situations of the worlds leading countries as well in their relationships to each other.

Along with this, and remembering that a body is composed of electrical components, it is entirely possible that when the resurrection occurs, a small burst of EMP will be released. For those who don't know, an Electro-Magnetic Pulse has the ability to fry computer chips.

Remember all the 'endtime' scenarios over Y2K? When you realize, especially in America and Europe, that every city and town has a cemetery in which in interned numerous Glorified Saints in waiting, then it may be possible that those scenarios will be fulfilled in Y2K II, with all communications nation wide shut down in one split second, across the board globally. This will only increase the chaos that the entire globe will be experiencing.

The situation for deception will be incredible and also for certain individuals to rise to new heights in power, which is exactly what the Bible says will happen. The geopolitical situation of the entire planet could very well change overnight, which is what the Bible also seems to indicate. You could call it an Anarchist's worst nightmare. I guess that what I have stated here would be considered the Worst Case Scenario of the Pretribulational Rapture.

But that is why our Lord called it the Great Tribulation.

It should be stated that all of this will happen at the time of the Rapture regardless of what disasters hit the world before them from, lets say, Planet X with its Pole Shift and Asteroid Swarm very assuredly starting in 2013 AD.
