The Keys to a Biblical Timeline :

Compiled this list in my Bible May 6, 2013 Anno Domini :

1) One Birth Year must be added to every generation from Adam to Jacob - this one key helped me to nail down the Creation of this Solar System (not the entire Universe as some believe) in 4182 BC which was subsequently confirmed via Egyptology.

2) Creation May 1, 4182 BC

3) A Jubilee Year starts in the fall of the 49th Year and continues to the fall of the 1st year of the new cycle.

4) The years of the Oppressors run concurrently with their respective Judges - in other words they have already been factored into the Judge's Reign so don't need to be added - this is where Paul made  his mistake in Acts 13:20 where he gave a generalized period of 40 years (2 Sam 2:10).

5) The first Jubilee Cycle started the first year upon entering the promised land.

6) Joshua's Generation ended at the first Jubilee 49 years later when the Angel showed up and when Othniel the Lion of God began his reign.

7) There are precisely 480 years between the Exodus and the start of the Temple in Solomon's fourth year and this is because he had access to the Jubilee Years and started the Temple because the next Year was the Jubilee Year.

8) Samuel judged Israel for two years after the death of Eli - most of his ministering years run concurrently with Eli who, by the way, was probably the Levite mentioned twice in Judges after the death of Samuel once as a young man and then again in his middle ages.  It was the event with the concubine (who he quartered and dispersed in Israel) that propelled him to the position of Judge.  Samuel probably got those accounts first hand and passed them on.

9) Saul reigned six years as a type of the Antichrist who also will only reign six years up till Feast of Tabernacles.

10) Both Jeroboam and Rehoboam began reigning in 978 BC with the latter precisely on Nisan 1st and the former in the autumn of that year.  All of Judah's (and Babylon's) Royal Years start on Nisan 1 as do all of the Years of the 70 Weeks of Years from Daniel.

11) Ephraim's King list is a Quagmire on Steroids mainly because they didn't use Ascension years so you have to add a year for each King but then, as far as I could tell, about the time that Jeroboam began ruling over Judah they began using them which only makes matters worse so much so that a later redactor of their Lists ended up introducing a 20 year error or so trying to harmonize them which I was actually able to find from the Ten Times (literally - I counted them) that I graphed these two lists together side by side and finally sifted through all these Keys one at a time (now, two more times cause I found a three year error which has now been corrected).  Ascension Years, Jubilees, Wars (one for four years between Omri and Tibni - I Kings 16:23), Co-Regencies, Periods of no Rule, or Rule by Hostage Proxy (this was actually quite prevalent in the Ancient world right up to modern times - it is recorded in the Maccabees as well as the book, "The Greatest Knight" - you would take one of the King's sons and hold him hostage so that the father would do what you told him to), etc.  When I was done I graphed it out in the upper margins of my Bible in various colored inks (where I made that three year error).

12) Hosea must have been imprisoned in the 9th years of his reign before the two years of siege in Hezekiah's 6th year (716 BC).

13) Ahaziah and both Jehorams died the same year (II Kings 8:25) and, therefore, Ahaziah's reign does not even register (as with several other reigns that only lasted a couple of months).

14) Omri and Ahab reighned co-jointly for four years which were Omri's last four and Ahab's first four which end with Jehoshaphat's 1st year (917 BC).  With these last two points - being the two trouble spots in Judah's List where you need help from Ephraim's List - I can recreate the entire Timeline that I have been using for 33 Biblical Chronologies.

15) The key to the fall of Samaria was realizing that Zedekiah's 9th year (586 BC - Jer 34) was a Sabbatical Year.  A check for this is if you count back Ephraim's Years of Sin (Ezekiel 4) of 390 Years from the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC you arrive precisely 978 BC which is when, assuredly, Jeroboam set up the two golden calves that led Israel astray.

16) There is a principle used by the Chaldeans and Jews to add a year between Kings or otherwise you will end up losing years.  Thus, when we apply this principle to the various Biblical Chronologies and Judgment Periods then they all need to be adjusted which I just got done doing. Basically, if a judgment occurs in the middle of the year then you must start the Judgment Period the following Nisan First which threw off most of my chronologies by one year which have, now, all been corrected with incredible precision that is, basically, unrivaled anywhere by anybody.
